Mantis Disposable Disrupter

The Mantis ultra lightweight disposable disrupter defeats Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) with consistent reliability. 

The Mantis is designed for applications where weight and ease of deployment are critical such as Assault Troops or Special Forces operations. 

Mantis has been developed specifically to offer a lightweight Disrupter capability having equivalent performance to ABP’s other general purpose disrupters. 

The Mantis operates using the 3476-0301 cartridge. 

The Mantis has been tested using impact measurement, radiography, high speed photography & simulated targets to positively verify absolute and comparative performance. 

The Mantis is particularly suited to applications such as Special Forces operations where equipment weight and ease of deployment are paramount. 

The Mantis is also suited for use on small RCVs with limited payload carrying capability or to allow multiple weapons to be carried by a single RCV. 

Conventional deployment either manually or by RCV is of course possible. 

The Mantis is a single shot device, which is supplied piston in place with a closure cap and breech. 

It is therefore self contained with no cleaning or ancillary equipment required and no armoury/maintenance required.
